Last fall and winter, I was awed by the incredible news that The Sisters lived on the ABA Extended Bestseller List for Hardcover Fiction for seven weeks. Now, three weeks after release of the paperback, The Sisters is appearing for a second week (I didn’t know about the first!) on the ABA Extended Bestseller List for Trade Paperbacks, coming in at #34. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this wild dream a reality!

I’m thrilled to announce that BJ’s Wholesale Club has selected The Sisters as a November Book Club pick. The book will be featured in BJ’s Home Entertainment Review, and, in stores, copies of The Sisters will be highlighted with a special “Book Club Pick” sticker.
It was touch and go there for a while, but, thankfully, I didn’t quite blow away yesterday in Nashville at the Southern Festival of Books. I’m looking forward to enjoying next weekend in Cincinnati for the Books by the Banks Festival on Saturday, October 20 at the Duke Energy Convention Center. I’ll be talking a little about The Sisters at 1:00 p.m. as part of a panel called “New and Notable Fiction.”
Please stop by and say hello if you’re in Cincinnati for the festival!
I’m looking forward to a wonderful weekend at the Southern Festival of Books in Nashville. I’ll be speaking about The Sisters on Sunday, 14 October at 2:00 p.m. with author Sarah McCoy (The Baker’s Wife ) on a panel titled “Navigating the Past and Finding Forgiveness: Two Novels.”
Hope to see you in Nashville!
I promised lots of exciting news about The Sisters in October, so here’s another piece. Target will feature The Sisters as an Emerging Authors pick in stores nationwide beginning October 21st!
